I am delighted to welcome you to our parish website.  The website is one more way in which we are building community here at St. Monica’s.  The sacraments, and above all the Mass, are at the heart of our identity as Catholics, but getting to know each other, working together and enjoying each other’s company are also crucial to moulding us together as the Body of Christ.

The last few years has seen a growth in small-faith sharing groups, the revitalising of the Parish Centre as a place for relaxing and celebrating, new devotions, pilgrimages and new friendships developed in many other groups. There has also been increased collaboration in
discerning growth and development in the parish. As we start planning celebrations for the centenary of the foundation of the parish in 2010 and continue working on the areas outlined in ‘Graced by the Spirit’ (the Diocesan Development Plan) it is a very exciting time for all those involved in the life of the parish.

This website helps us to reach out to those who want to find out more about our faith and our parish.  It also serves as the first step as an introduction to the life of the community here at St. Monica’s.
